I just got this dispatch from the mysterious Lemon-tistas, who urged me to pass this on to as many people as possible...
THIS SUMMER IN PORTLAND
RANDOM ACTS OF LEMONADE ARE COMING TO A LOCATION NEAR YOU!
What is lemonade summer?
Lemonade IS summer. You can’t think of one without the other. And this day and age, we believe lemonade should be free. Why pay for something that tastes so good? That is why we are giving out lemonade free of charge at various times, dates, and places throughout Portland during the summer of 2005.
What’s the catch? Are you Commies/Khrisnas/etc?
Nope, no catch! This lemonade is free! Of course, if you want to donate something to the cause, we’re not going to stop you! We have no agenda other than providing fun and excitement in this hum-drum world. Oh yeah, we bring you this lemonade on bikes or on foot. If that makes us some pinko hippies in your eyes, then guilty we be.
Where will you be next ?
Check the Gracies Calendar for postings on where we might turn up. But we may show up at other random, unannounced places! You’re more likely to find us at the more typical summertime gatherings, but don’t hold us to that!
How can I help out?
We are always looking for help to make Lemonade Summer 2005 a success! You can pitch in by:
--Donating money and/or supplies for lemonade (lemons, sugar, bottles of good lemonade, etc)
--Helping make and/or pick-up lemonade
--Serving lemonade to the thirsty masses around the town
--Spreading the word
If any of this interests you, or if you would still like to learn more about all this, email firstname.lastname@example.org
