Exploring the urban environment through fun human-powered adventures, riding bicycles, and gawking at bicycles in and around Portland, Oregon, Cascadia
That's exactly right! Those thin biking garmets also seal in the moisture, so that helps make a person even colder when stopped.
I have a head band that I like to wear to cover my ears. I wear it, instead of a hat, because it makes helmet wearing easier. Still, it's not great because the cold Wisconsin, winter air still goes through the vents in the helmetIs that hat on the cyclist above worn over or under the helmet? Do you have any specific hat recommendations? Thanks.

Wow! They actually make some in more than one size! Thanks. I have a huge head, and it is beyond me that most hats are made in 'one size fits all'. My @$$ they do.
What, cleated shoes aren't sensible shoes? Now that's just crazy talk :-)
