UPCOMING ADVENTURE
ALAMEDA RIDGE BICYCLE CRUISE
THURSDAY 20 JULY 2006
START LOCATION:
Alberta Cooperative Grocery, 1500 NE Alberta St (in front of)
meet at 6:30pm
Hey, summer is in full effect, so what better way to celebrate than taking a leisurely bicycle ride along the Alameda Ridge, during the twilight hours? Ride an easy five miles or so, taking in the nice neighborhoods, scenic overlooks, and hidden treasures along the way. And at the end of the ride, you have the option of taking a li'l 'adventure' ride up Rocky Butte - that is, if you're up for it!
At no point on the ride will we go up or down the Alameda Ridge! No hills unless you go on the Adventure portion of the ride.
Would it be okay to bring a trail-a-bike along on this ride?
ReplyDeleteIf you mean either a trailer, or one of those li'l extensions for kids to ride, then yes. If you are bringing young children, be advised that we stop frequently for several minutes at a time. This doesn't always work too well for kids that get antsy.
