Yikes! I haven't posted on here in a while! And it's almost May, so that means...
THE RETURN OF YE
PEDAL POTLUCK PICNIC!
FIRST INSTALLMENT: TUESDAY MAY 4th, 6:30PM

The Pedal Potluck Picnic is a "bi-weekly" series of bicycle rides hosted by the Urban Adventure League during the summer.
The ride is a casual one traversing approx. 3-5 miles. There will be a different route each time, incorporating interesting places and/or random trivia. The end destination is a mystery, only known by the ride leader, but it will always be a park or park-like setting. The catch is the “park” will be a lesser-known and/or out of the way spot. While we love Col. Summers, Laurelhurst, and Mt. Tabor, the Urban Adventure League feels it’s time to let the underdogs shine and help increase awareness of our city at the same time. The term “park” will be used liberally here, so expect the unexpected!
At the endpoint we’ll enjoy a picnic dinner. Eating will be potluck style, so please bring food and drink to share (preferably vegetarian/vegan). If you don’t have time to prepare something before the ride, fear not! The starting point is within close proximity to, or at, a grocery store, and we’ll either be passing by and/or ending up near a grocery as well.
If you want to participate for the first one of the season, just show up Tuesday May 4th, 2010 at 6:30pm at the Hawthorne Hostel. No need to RSVP! If you’d like more info, or would like to organize a PPP of your own, email us.
Can't make this one? We'll be doing it all summer! First Tuesdays of the month (May-Sept), meet at the Hawthorne Hostel Third Tuesdays of the month (May-Aug). meet at Alberta Co-op, 1500 NE Alberta St Fifth Tuesdays (when they happen, May-Aug), THE WILD CARD! Start destination to be detirmined. (all start times 6:30pm)
