BIKE CRAFTINESS
Well it is getting close to "that time of the year", so it's time for the Urban Adventure League to gear up for the onslaught of holiday craft shows!
First up this weekend is the PUMP (Portland United Mountain Pedallers) Swap Meet. It's taking place Saturday November 15th from 11am to 3pm at the Friendly House, NW 26th and Thurman. Two bucks gets ya through the door. Never been to this one, but they asked me to table, so let's see!
And coming up in December is the annual Bike Craft Faire put on by Good ol' Jon Maus (along with Nutmegger Elly Blue) of bikeportland.org The fourth installment will be held on Wednesday, December 10th at Roots Organic Brewing (on SE 7th, just south of Hawthorne) from 5:30pm until late. This one is ALWAYS great (and crazily crowded!)
Back from the dead is the old stalwart D-I-Y Craft Fair Handmade Bazaar. Handmade Bazaar brought together a collection of scrappy, punky, crafty folks to sell their wares from the years 2000-2006, acting as a precursor to all those glossy craft events we have in town now. But it's back this year and I will once again be a part! This time it will happen Sunday, December 14th at p:ear, 338 NW 6th Av from 12noon-5pm.
As always, I'll be selling "the usual": Urban Adventure League zines, the Zinester's Guide to Portland, 1" buttons, screenprinted postcards, posters, and other ephemera. Stop by!
